Job Description: Sales Coordinator (Uttar Pradesh)


BuffaloGrid is a UK-based technology start-up. We provide mobile power and internet connectivity to rural towns and villages across India. We are looking for a Sales coordinators to manage our sales operations across Uttar Pradesh.


Role Summary


You will manage the Sales Team across Uttar Pradesh. You will be responsible for maintaining high sales performance, providing training to agents and supervisors and for maximising BuffaloGrid’s reach across rural communities in UP. You will be in regular contact with the UK Operations Team to report district level growth and performance across your region.




Lead, manage and expand our team of field sales executives and agents in rural areas.

Monitor and improve the daily performance of our BuffaloGrid hubs to maintain high sales and maximise our reach in rural communities.

Maintain regular contact with our field agents and supervisors to ensure they meet their performance targets.

Organising and conducting agent and supervisor training days - required for all new BuffaloGrid agents and supervisors in the areas of field deployment, sales, promotion and technical support.

Manage logistics of deployment trips and travel to deployment sites for several days to launch new locations or improve the performance of existing locations (staying on site if necessary).

Searching for new deployment sites within BuffaloGrid’s area of operations.

Communicating with all employees at BuffaloGrid and partner companies, to ensure smooth running of the BuffaloGrid service.

Identifying issues with agents, locations or hubs, and pro-actively resolving the issue or raising it with the Operations Team UK.

Carefully managing BuffaloGrid stock in Uttar Pradesh to ensure stock levels are always able to meet demand. Ordering and purchasing stock when needed.

Performing technical trouble-shooting on BuffaloGrid hardware, both on-site and remotely.


Essential Skills


University-level education.

An approach to sales and marketing that is pro-active and drives an increase in charges.

Ability to work with an international team and without close supervision.

Experience in sales or customer service.

Confidence when dealing with customers.

Fluent in local village dialects, spoken and written.

Fluent in English, spoken and written.

Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a dynamic environment.

Pro-active problem-solver.

Well organised and capable of working alone.

Natural ability for building relationships.

Holder of an Indian driving license.

A working understanding of electronics.


Preferred Skills


Experience with Google Documents would be a benefit.

Proficient with basic electronics, including testing and replacing components.

Previous experience in rural training and sales with comparative company (MNO, FMCG or similar private company)

Should be a strong sales oriented person.

Good analytical skills, should be able to take the sales numbers and analyze them to find weaknesses in the system, cost-saving opportunities and redundancies.

Should have good leadership skills so as to manage a large sales & training workforce and maintain a healthy team environment.
